Our Third Collection of knit patterns for dolls consists of 16 patterns that
provide variations to produce many different outfits and fit American
Girl-sized dolls as well as slimmer dolls such as the Magic Attic dolls. (Click on
photo to view enlargements)
The jumpsuit is
knit in two pieces and has a zipper opening that can be worn in front or
back. The pattern provides directions for two weights of yarn. (The
long-sleeved t-shirt pictured at right is not a pattern but a purchased
item.)
The tennis sweater can be sleeveless or knit
with long sleeves. The v-neckline is accented with a ribbed neckband.
The sweater fastens at the back.
The doll on the left is wearing another pattern - a
ruffled skirt, while the doll on the right is wearing a
tennis skirt with attached pants.
The lacy dress is knit in a pattern of
decrease/increase stitches and has short sleeves. The dress fastens in the
back with a zipper or snap fasteners - as preferred.
The basket purse is a free pattern that is included
with Collection 3 orders and should be on our web site soon.
The cable hat is worn with the long-sleeved
v-neckline sweater. The sweater can be worn as
a dress (as shown), or left sleeveless to as a jumper or long vest.
The sweater has set-in sleeves and buttons down the front.
The rolled-neck sweater at right could be
knit without the soft neckband. The sweater has set-in sleeves
and fastens at the back. Another pattern, the nightcap,
was knit with the same yarn to serve as a set, but could be matched with any
of the other outfits in the book.
The winter coat is paired with a 4-pleated "cheerleader"
skirt. The skirt can be knit short (as shown) or in a longer length.
The third collection includes a
cable sweater that can be knit in a long or short version.
A matching hat is also included (shown with jumpsuits and v-neckline sweater
dress). Flared (bellbottom) pants and stretch pants
are also shown in the photo at left.
A fringed "shawl" can be worn with any garment.
The shawl is designed to cross over at the front and fastened with some type
of decorative pin or just a snap fastener.
The winter coat (worsted weight) can also be knit with
sport yarn to create a spring coat (right). The coat
is double breasted with a "suit collar neckline and long sleeves that are
designed to be turned back.
