Finishing: Because you don't want the
bound off stitches at the bottom of the "foot" to show, turn the stocking
so that the right sides are together, and stitch a seam along the bottom
of the foot - from the toe to the heel.
Now turn the stocking so the wrong sides are together.
Sew the remaining seam around the heel, up the side of the stocking, to
the top.
The hanger can be made by using a piece of ribbon or
the same color yarn (or the main color if the stocking is striped).
Thread a large eyed needle with
the yarn or ribbon - do not double the yarn or tie a knot.
Pull from the inside top of the
stocking to the outside - do not pull the yarn all the way through, but
leave a length inside.
Next, thread the needle through a
stitch inside the stocking - near the top and close to where you began.
Remove the needle. Tie a knot and trim the ends.
